New study finds GM corn not safe for consumption. Significant differences were observed in a similar manner in the uric acid, urea and creatinine reflecting an impact on kidney function after 91 days of exposure to GM corn. The results in this study were similar to a prior study which observed that the deficiencies in kidney function in male rats is different between animals fed NK 603 and Mon 863 genetically modified corn. The researchers concluded that significant changes in body and organ biochemistry were observed, warned about GMO consumption and that further research is required.
